1) 과민반응 : 드물게 두드러기, 가려움증, 발진 및 아나필락시스를 포함하는 알러지반응이 나타날수 있으며 후두부종, 쇽을 동반할 수 있다.
2) 소화기계 : 때때로 연변, 복부불쾌감, 설사, 복통, 구토, 구역, 복부중압감, 식욕부진이 나타날 수 있다.
3) 기타 : 드물게 간기능 이상이 나타날 수 있고 투여 중단 후 정상화 될 수 있으며, 드물게 두통, 어지럼증이 나타날 수 있다.
4) 국내에서 6년동안 786명을 대상으로 실시한 시판후 조사결과 변비 1례가 보고되었다.
Alverine에 대한 Pharmacology 정보 Alverine is a smooth muscle relaxant. Smooth muscle is a type of muscle that is not under voluntary control; it is the muscle present in places such as the gut and uterus. Alverine acts directly on the muscle in the gut, causing it to relax. This prevents the muscle spasms which occur in the gut in conditions such as irritable bowel syndrome and diverticular disease. Diverticular disease is a condition in which small pouches form in the gut lining. These pouches can trap particles of food and become inflamed and painful. In irritable bowel syndrome the normal activity of the gut muscle is lost. The muscle spasms result in symptoms such as heartburn, abdominal pain and bloating, constipation or diarrhoea. By relaxing the gut muscle, alverine citrate relieves the symptoms of this condition. Alverine also relaxes the smooth muscle in the womb (uterus). It is therefore also used to treat painful menstruation, which is caused by muscle spasms in the uterus (dysmenorrhea).
